Sustainability as the New Luxury: Redefining Interior Design at WORLDBEX 2026
Published:

Manila, Philippines—Today, luxury is no longer defined solely by aesthetics but also shaped by responsibility. Modern interiors are embracing a balance between unique character, purposeful design, and sustainability. From locally sourced materials to energy-efficient solutions, the spaces created today reflect not only the personal style but also the commitment to a more responsible future. Sustainability has evolved from being a design trend into an essential foundation—where ethical sourcing, circular design, and low-carbon solutions elevate both form and function.
As homeowners and businesses seek to create meaningful environments, interior design has become an opportunity to merge creativity with conscious decision-making. Sustainable finishes, responsibly crafted furniture, and energy-efficient interiors now play a vital role in shaping spaces that are both beautiful and environmentally mindful. These intentional choices allow interiors to tell deeper stories by supporting local industries, reducing environmental impact, and creating long-lasting value. As IDr. Chat Fores mentioned during her speech at WORLDBEX’s Grand Launch on February 9, 2026, “WORLDBEX remains the premier platform for our industry because it is the vital link between the interior designer’s vision and its execution.”
With the theme “Building Opportunities: Sustaining Lives,” the expo brings this vision to life, visually showcasing and embodying its message. It demonstrates that design and innovation go beyond aesthetics and entertainment—they can also be purposeful, meaningful, and sustainable. This vision comes to life at WORLDBEX 2026 – The Philippine World Building and Construction Expo, happening on March 12–15, 2026, at the East Wing A of the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
