A2 reaction-to-fire without the need for full fire-rated glazing

The requirements for façade fire safety have evolved significantly since Grenfell, increasing the focus on the reaction-to-fire performance of materials used within external wall systems.

Pyroguard Spandrels have been developed to provide an A2 reaction-to-fire solution for applications where full fire resistance of the glazing and framing system is not required.

By eliminating highly combustible materials such as PVB, Pyroguard Spandrels offer a solution for opaque façade areas where A2 reaction-to-fire performance is required, while allowing them to be glazed within standard non-fire-rated systems.

This can provide an appropriate alternative where a full fire-rated glazing and framing solution would not be necessary for the application.

• Single-glazed or DGU – Available in both single-glazed and double-glazed unit (DGU) configurations to suit different façade requirements.

• Low-E option – A Low-E option is available to support the wider thermal performance requirements of the façade specification.
• Flexible colour options – Standard finishes are available in White, Anthracite Grey and Black, with other RAL colours available on request.
• Suitable for standard systems – Designed to be glazed within standard non-fire-rated systems where an A2 reaction-to-fire solution is required.
